The Littles' Birthday Party - The Theme, Decorations, Food, and Candy

This weekend, we had a birthday party for Little's 1st and BabyBoy's 3rd birthday!! They're so big, and sweet, and cuddly, and fun! :) How cute are they?!?!?!!! (alert, proud mommy here ;))

We decided to combine the the littles' birthday parties this year. I was completely against it at first, because I wanted them to have their own special parties, but with conflicting schedules for some family, me not feeling well, and many of our guests traveling an hour or more, we wanted to make it easy for everyone, but still super special for each little!

The Theme: The Beach! BabyBoy chose the theme and Little agreed :) BabyBoy had been to the beach a couple times when he was younger and had literally been talking about going back everyday for almost a year!

I made all of the decorations, the yellow and white striped tablecloth, and the orange and green polka dot runners! :) Thank you Erin for helping me pick out the fabric for the runners and for the pom pom trim idea, and other great ideas too!! There were some more decorations and things that I wanted to do, but circumstances and time got away from us towards the end :). So here was their beachy bash:

Invitations: and I made our return labels and printed them on clear labels :)

Decorations: Tissue Paper Pom Poms*, Cupcake (decoration) Toppers*, Birthday Banners, the orange and green polka dot Runners and the Tablecloth, buckets filled with sand, beachy things, and toppers, and a slideshow of Little's First Year on the tv.

Two big buckets, filled with sand, tied with ribbon, holding balloons for the entrance.

I got the foam letters for Kobe when Erin took me to Hobby Lobby for the first time!!, great idea Erin! and got a hula skirt for $1 :)

Food Table: We had homemade BBQ Chicken, Rolls, Great Grandma's Coleslaw, Baked Beans, Granny's Turkey Meatballs, Grandma's Cheese and Crackers Station, Chips and Salsa, Grandma's Handmade Beach Bucket Watermelon, Great Granny's Homemade Rolls

This was before everything was out and then we forgot to get more pics :)

We didn't get a close up of the silverware in the bucket, but here is how each one looked :) I was going to do lighter colors but worked with what we had :)

And forgot to get a close up of the cute cheese display! We had a few cheeses on a cheese tray with super cute little beach towels (they're hot dog holders :)) that Erina and I found at Hobby Lobby too!, with assorted crackers in them, they're toward the bottom left of the pic :)

Drinks Station: Sodas in the big bucket, Strawberry Lemonade in the glass dispenser, and Kids juice boxes in the beach buckets. :)

The Candy Buffet: I was so excited with how the runners came out!

On the cake stand with the red striped ribbon is bags for guests to take candy home at the end of the partay and beachy stickers on the cake stand with the blue polka dots for securing the bag closed :) (but we forgot to tell everyone we were all having so much fun)

First of all, I need a Hobby Lobby. Well, no, I probably don't. I would get in trouble.

Second of all, you are going to have to come decorate the next time I have a party...I love how fabulous everything turned out.

Third of all...a very sweet & happy birthday to your cute lil' guys!! :)
