Questions for You Ladies! and The Big 19 Week Day!

Hi girls! It's been too long! I've missed you and catching up on all your cuteness! We've got one little one napping right now and another at the park with Daddy so I thought I'd try to get a quick post in :)

We're doing a Valentine's Weekend swap with our friends! We each got 24 hours to spend some precious alone time together while our little ones got to play play play! Hubby and I went away from Friday evening to Sat evening and had a lovely time. We went to a Japanese Steakhouse on Friday night! I've been wanting to go to one for so long, they are so much fun, and the food is...oh...so...yummy! We stayed at a Golf Resort that night for $69! Our friends were able to get us an Air Force discount. So nice!! Sat morn we had a leisurely breakfast overlooking the greens, went to an afternoon movie! (an afternoon movie! haha), I got a pregnancy massage (it was soooo great, my back has been asking for one :), she worked those knots good), we had an early dinner, and then headed back to pick up our big guy.

Then we got their little guy from yesterday after church to this afternoon. The boys are having a blast and are so excited to see each other in the morning! BabyBoy even got up early this morning and was asking for his buddy.

I'll post more pics of everybody soon, but here are some quick questions for you! Feel free to answer one or all!

1. What is your favorite foundation, powder, and coverup makeup? What have you found covers nicely without being heavy and lasts?

2. Do you have a face scrub that you like? I need to do better about my face beautifying regime (well, it doesn't really exist right now, but it needs to :)) :)

3. Do you do your own bikini waxes? he. I haven't but am considering it to save some moola (although dare I confess I haven't been in a while, so I'll have to go first then start myself :)). How about a good brand of product?

Ooh I know there were more but I'm trying to be quick so we'll start with those :)

AND

Today we are 19 weeks and have our big sonogram! Our doctor wrote a note to the technician about the complications throughout our first pregnancy so they will be looking a little closer today to make sure everything is ok. We are just praying that they don't see anything even the slightest bit concerning. Though during our 19 wk sono with BabyBoy everything was great...we didn't find anything out until 32 weeks. So we are just praying that today goes very smoothly and this little bean is doing great and then we'll just keep praying for little bean's health and development until his birth. Thank you guys so much already for joining us in prayer for our little ones, born and unborn. We cannot even begin to express how much we believe in the power of prayer.

I hope you are doing great! And I look forward to catching up with you too!!!

Praying for your sonogram!!!

I'm anxious to see everyone's response as I havent found a foundation I'm happy with. Neutragena is the only thing that doesnt feel HEAVY on me... but am interested in what others like too

Also never tried a waxing product - I'm going to have to check back for responses!

hey girl-glad to hear from you. go to www.cosmeticscop.com for info on products that work and those that just blow your money. I like her face wash and exfoliants. But I also use dove's face wash.

that's all I got - but looking forward to hearing more in the weeks to come!

I hope everything goes well!

I LOVE the Bare Minerals line! Memphis has a store, so I don't have to order it online anymore, but I did get my starter "kit" online. Anyway, it's all powder and it's amazing. I was skeptical at first, but the coverage is great and it never feels heavy. Plus, the stuff lasts forever because a little really does go a long way.

I use a Nuetragena cleansing bar. I also use Oil of Olay's microderm abrasion system twice a week; the eye lifting serum and the nighttime regenerist moisturizer every night. LOVE those products! I may try their cleansing products when I'm out of the Neutragena.

These were good questions to ask. I've enjoyed reading what other people use.

And it's great to see you back around the blog!

I sure do miss hearing from you. Hope all is well and all those little details you are coping with get ironed out. I need a full and complete update, madam.

Everyday Minerals - sucky website but awesome product. They'll send you free samples for you to try and figure out the colors you need. LOVE it.

Keep face regime simple. I love cheekymaidensoap.com Her complexion soap doesn't dry out my skin. I just put it on and then wipe it off and exfoliate with a wash rag. Spray on some rose water for toner and go to bed. Faces don't need moisturizer on them at night because that's when they do all their repair work. Moisturizer just clogs up the pores at night. Next morning, I just take a warm wash rag to my face to slough off any sleepies and then spray on more rose water. Let that soak in and then put straight coconut oil on my face. I've got combination skin and it works great. Summer and winter. Just use less in summer. Let it soak in, put on those minerals and you're good to go.

Bikini wax... My razor is my friend. But I admire you for going and getting that done. Ouch.

Can't wait to hear what this baby is. If you don't post it on the blog I had BETTER GET A PHONE CALL. love ya!

It's so good to hear from you. It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. How nice to do a kid swap with friends!

I love Bare Minerals. I get it at Ulta.

I use something that I get from my dermatologist, MD Forte. It is a simple routine - wash with the cleanser and then put the lotion on.

No, I am afraid to do that myself!

For a seriously luxurious face scrub, philosophy's microdelivery peel is unbeatable. You scrub on a citrusy base, then smooth a separate lactic acid over it - it foams and warms. I use it about once a week and it gets stuff off.

I have my favorite products but they aren't from one line:)Total hodge podge:)
Love Great lash mascara:)

Elizabeth Arden will mix up foundation for you in order to match your skin. Good stuff:)They probably have a spa close to ya.

I love the Mary Kay microdermabrasion set, really makes your skin feel so refreshed and soft. I have to say the waxing job belongs to the specialists at Elizabeth Arden. They are quick and really its painless there. I tried to do some of those wax strips on my legs once and it was way to painful to hurt myself, I ended up in the tub trying to scrub off the wax and it didn't work! It was a nightmare. I bought this little scrubbie thing that you can rub on your legs and you don't have to shave or wax. It really is good at getting the old skin off and removes the hair it just can't be too long or it won't work. I picked it up at the drug store:)
I love all of the Oil of Olay products too, eye serum, face cream, wash etc:) Good products and cheap:)

Isn't it amazing what those hormones do to your skin during pregnancy? I am starting to feel like a teenager again with all the breakouts!

I have used Clinique city base for 9 years! I love it

I love Bare Minerals makeup. Its so light yet somehow covers all your flaws.

I have OILY skin so I am an exfoliating queen. My two favorites are Proactive (the facial cleanser is an exfoliant) and Airbonne has a fantastic face scrub in the RE9 line.

Oh and I tried waxing on my own after a couple glasses of wine and it was great!! Minus the wine and not. so. much. In my opinion I think paying to get it done is just all around easier.
