Whadda Ya Think Girls?

A recipe book!! It's just a regular small binder, covered in fabric, and fancied up with some ribbon and a bow! :)

You only get a far away pic of the inside because it is so not perfect :) I'm going to tweek the way I do the inside next time :) You know I'm kind of a perfectionist!...:)

Do you think people might buy it on Ets.y? A recipe book in different color fabrics and designs, with fun ribbon and bows would make a great gift right? What do you think? Be honest! If you don't think so, just say, NCF you crazy! I will so not be offended, I promise! :)

Let me know when they are for sale and I would be the first customer! I am always calling my mom to have her email me recipes and a binder to print them all into would be perfect!

For customers seeking a crafty, personal feel, you could definitely make some sales. (One of your high-tech competitors would be tastebook.com, where I've been designing a recipe book for my bro's fiancee over the past few weeks.)

Additional marketing ideas:

What about surging/embroidering the recipients' initials on the cover? (You can get away with charging extra - say, $5-$10 - for this.)

What about some triple hole punched, clear 4x6 photo sheets to insert for recipe photos and/or the recipes people often get on index cards?

Ofter the book a gift pack with that lovely bookstand (or a similar stand that complements the style).

Be sure to cite how/where the customers could buy more paper or 4x6 pages. (If they think this is a one-time thing and they won't be able add/edit their recipes in the future, some might remain shy.)

Give this book as a gift to every bride-to-be, college graduate, etc. that you know. Be sure that the recipient knows where (his?) her friends can get some of their own on Etsy.

Buy Google ads. Give away a freebie recipe book during the Bloggy giveaways. Donate the books to local charity auctions.

That is such a great idea, and it looks good. I wouldn't have to hide my binder in the closet anymore I could put it up on the shelf with the other cookbooks:-)

That may be the cutest lil recipe book I have seen. If I had one that cute, maybe I would cook more. You think? haha!

If you haven't checked out noblepig.com, you are really missing out! She has THE BEST RECIPES EVER! They'd be great in that super cute recipe book of yours!

I love the idea someone had of monogramming them! You could have the ribbon going vertically for those for a different look. :)

I love Etsy, but I am so notorious for getting ideas there and recreating them. But I definitely think people would buy that. Me, I would see it and go, "Oh, that's cute, I could so make that". But not everyone is as cheap and/or crafty as me LOL

This looks a lot better than my green plastic three ring binder. It would make a great gift.

It's beautiful (and matches my bedroom perfectly.) Not exactly where I'd need a recipe book, but I still love it!
