A Herd of 'Em?!

I was reading my Bible the other night when I felt a little tickle on my arm. You so know the feeling and when it doesn't go away you have to do something about it before it drives you crazy! So I went to itch it a little. It was not just any tickle!!! It was a teeny tiny spider!!! Gross, eww, ewww, ewww!!!

Then what do you do? What else but look around like a maniac like there's going to be a whole herd of 'em following!!

Next thought, where did it come from? How did it get there?? Are there more??

Now tens of spiders are going to crawl in and out of my mouth tonight! Oh my gosh have you ever heard that?? Supposedly eight spiders crawl in and out of your mouth while you're sleeping! hahahaha! Don't get paranoid now, I'm sorry!

THEN, I finally settled down and continued to read when a little piece of my hair fell onto my face! I jumped up off the bed so quick and started slapping myself in the face thinking it was another spider!

I realized it was just my hair...and then thought, maybe it wasn't my hair!!! I did eventually fall asleep and got over it, haaa!

I didn't know they travelled in herds. Good to know.

And, yes, we must all be careful to avoid the dreaded hair tickle. It can be fatal. ;)

Funny! Ok, I have to say that one time I was home for my lunch break from work - I sat down in a chair that had been outside and had a shirt hanging over the back of it...all of a sudden I had tiny spiders all over me - there was a nest and evidently I made it hatch, or whatever. I FREAKED! I stripped all my clothes off, got the hair dryer - anything to make sure they were out of my was pretty long back then. Oh it was horrible. I had to change clothes and wore my hair in a ponytail the rest of the day.
Then the other night I am not sure what happened, but I jumped out of the bed because I thought something had me - i woke myself up doing so.

Hahahah. I can't tell you how many times I've done that same thing - I HATE bugs!!!

Two summers ago in our old apartment we used to have an awful roach problem. We found one in our bedroom once and Todd killed it. Well that same night I was sleeping and woke up becuase I felt something on my finger. I opened up my groggy eyes and saw something black on my pillow and literally leapt out of bed screaming.

YOu know what it was?

SO not a roach. It was my little hair-tie that had come out of my ponytail while sleeping. (o:

Too funny! When I was in Israel we hiked in this dessert and afterwards our guide told us the most poinous (sp?) snakes in the world lived in there. Then a fly buzzed by my ear and I flipped out. The guide said: "Snakes don't fly."
I totally relate to your paranoia!

Ok, I have a story to make you totally paranoid!!!! I was at home watching a movie by myself and the lights were off - DW was gone of course - and I noticed something moving across the floor! So I get up, and turn on the light, and it's a big ol' wolf spider...but I noticed it looked funny for some reason but couldn't put my finger on it.

Anyway, I got a plastic cup, picked it up, and then took it to the toilet and dumped it in the water. RIGHT when it hit the water, the water turned black and I was like, WHAT IN THE WORLD? Anyway, come to realize it has been carrying 100's of its babies on its back! I FREAKED!

Just be thankful you never lived on an Army base my friend.

When Abe and I were newleyweds and living at Ft Bragg (NC)I found a spider late one night crawling towards our guest bathroom. When I fetched Abe's Army boot to squich it with it looked like the spider was disintegrating before my eyes (kinda like on Buffy when she would stake a vampire and they would turn into dust).

Then I realized what was happening, I had just killed a pregnant mama spider and these were all her tiny babies scattering for dear life. Talk about freaking out!

I ran down the hall to the kitchen, grabbed the Raid and went to town on them, b/c there was no way I was about to deal with bigger spiders down the road.

Hey I just found your blog through Meg's. That story creeps me out! I HATE spiders! Dave thinks I'm such a wuss because I will not kill them, but I do the same thing like you, am totally paranoid after something like that happens and just think they are all out to get me then, haha. It was fun seeing you guys tonight! I emailed Meg that group picture and she can just forward it to you, or if you give me your email address I can send it to you.
